Universal Harbor Breeze Remotes
If you’re having a problem with your remote, you may be in the market to buy a new one. Assuming you’ve already tried all of the necessary troubleshooting, and you’re now at the stage where you need to purchase a new remote, we can assist with this. It’s important to understand that you’re not always going to be able to find a replacement remote which is exactly the part number that you need. In cases where you cannot find the original part number or exactly the part number you need that originally would had come with your ceiling fan, you can consider a universal remote in this case.
Universal ceiling fan remotes are helpful, as you don’t need to search for the exact remote, that matches your exact fan, that has this exact particular certain part number, and so on and so forth. Often you won’t be able to find this anyways. Home Depot and Lowe’s are really the only places to find particular parts in certain cases. As such, universal remotes can often save you a lot of time and trouble. This applies to all brands of ceiling fans as well – not just Harbor Breeze. So if you need a Hunter replacement remote, buy a Hunter universal remote – same thing for Hampton Bay, and so on and so forth. As long as it’s the same brand, there’s a good 75-80 percent chance that it’ll work with your fan.
How can I confirm for sure this remote will work with my fan?
Great question, here’s some answers. The first thing is, when you click on the universal remote, take a look at the product description. So whether you’re viewing the remote on Amazon, Home Depot or some other site, look for compatibility information there in the product listing. There should be some information as to what fans that the remote is compatible with. If you can’t find any of this information, you can try leaving a comment to let us know if you need help and we’ll do our best to find the answer for you.
Finally, if none of that works, you can also reach out to Harbor Breeze customer service as well via phone or e-mail and ask them. Be sure to include the model of your fan, and the model number of the remote you need, or the one you’re looking at. Try to be prepared with as much of this detail as possible. Sometimes you can wait on hold 20 minutes or so to get someone onto the line, so during your due diligence ahead of time to discover your fan model is super helpful once that fan technician does get onto the line to assist.
We recently had a site visitor ask, where can I find a UC 7082T Harbor Breeze remote?
This was a good example of a remote that can be replaced with a universal remote. The reason for this is, when looking for the UC 7082T remote, it appears to be discontinued and no longer available. As such, a universal remote solves the need. Most universal remotes that are manufactured by the same manufacturer (in this case Harbor Breeze) will work without issue. We talk about this more above. For this model number in particular – UC 7082T, we do believe that the above remote we have featured will work to communicate with your ceiling fan. If this does not work out, please leave a comment to let us know what fan you have and we will look for a different replacement remote (universal or other) that will work with your fan.
Harbor Breeze model e-caf56osb5crc – Universal Remote and Receiver Kit
We recently had a site visitor ask for a replacement remote control for the above model, which is a Harbor Breeze Bayou Creek 56 inch ceiling fan. While we weren’t able to locate the exact remote that comes with this fan from the factory, we were able to find a replacement universal remote control and receiver kit. This universal fan remote control kit is compatible with most three speed AC downrod style ceiling fans.
This universal remote control kit, as mentioned will work with most three speed AC downrod style ceiling fans. This includes not only Harbor Breeze, but also Allen+Roth, Kichler ceiling fans and other brands as well. This kit comes with both the receiver and the remote (although it shows two remotes in the picture, it just comes with one remote).
Cost: $39.99 USD (affordable)
Note: This remote does not have a reverse button. The remote control also requires a 9 volt battery which is not included.
