How to reprogram a Harbor Breeze fan remote

To reprogram a Harbor Breeze fan remote, start by removing the battery cover from the back of the remote and taking out the batteries. Press all the buttons on the remote to drain any residual power, then wait for about 30 seconds before reinserting the batteries.

Next, find the power switch on the fan and turn it off. Wait for about 30 seconds, then turn the power back on.

To sync the remote, press and hold the “Fan Off” button while also pressing the “Hi,” “Med,” and “Low” buttons in sequence. Release the buttons when the LED light on the remote blinks, indicating that the remote is ready to be synced.

On the fan’s motor housing, locate the small receiver unit. Press and hold the “Sync” button on the receiver until the LED light starts blinking. Quickly press the “Fan Off” button on the remote to sync it with the fan. The LED light on the receiver should stop blinking, indicating a successful sync.

Finally, test the remote by using the various buttons to control the fan’s speed and direction. If the remote is working correctly, the fan should respond accordingly. If you’re still having trouble, refer to the user manual for your Harbor Breeze fan for more specific instructions.
